In honor of the brave men and women who continue to preserve freedom enjoyed by Americans, the Green Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America is proud to present the annual Scouting Salute to Veterans parade, Saturday, November 11th, 2023, rain or shine. This year’s “Scouting Salute to Veterans Parade” will be hosted by St. Johnsbury, Vermont.  

All Scout units, both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, are invited to come to St. Johnsbury, in uniform, to march in the parade and honor our Veterans!

Location: St. Johnsbury

Arrival and Lineup: 8:30-9:30 A.M.

Muster Location: Father Lively Center – 506 Summer St. St. Johnsbury, VT 05819

Parking: On street

Step Off: 10 A.M.

Parade Route:

• North on Summer to Mt. Pleasant – Follow Round to Main Street

• South on Main to Eastern Ave to Courthouse

• Parade Pauses at Courthouse for 11th Hour Ceremony

• Parade resumes on Eastern then takes a left on Railroad Street

• Left on Maple

• Parade Ends at Legion – Marchers then reconvene at VFW for lunch.

Lunch Location: VFW Post 793 - 204 Eastern Ave, St Johnsbury, VT 05819 (Lunch included for all marchers)
