Here are a few details about the upcoming Klondike Derby being hosted in Southern VT!

Some of the activities include:

* Scavenger hunt to gather the materials to make a "craft" at the crafting table.
* Light the Nether Portal (fire starting)
* Player, Enderman, Dragon - compete against another patrol in this spin off of Rock, Paper, Scissors
* Get the gold from the Piglins- work with your patrol to traverse the fields in your sled to get the gold from the Piglins stash... 
* Tomahawk Throwing

Hot chocolate will be available throughout the day.

Units are responsible for their own lunch and snacks.

Check in begins at 8:30 am.  Opening Ceremony promptly at 9:15 am.

** POLAR BEAR CAMPING**

Units who have completed the required winter camping training prior to Klondike are eligible to spend Saturday night camping outside to earn their Polar Bear Camping patch.  You will be responsible for providing your own equipment and meals for the overnight camping.  Polar Bear Camping will be supervised by Ed Gelbar on Saturday night.  

When your unit registers for the Klondike Derby, you will need to indicate for each participant if they will be camping Saturday night.  This is critical so we can plan accordingly.  If you have any questions about Polar Bear Camping please contact Ed Gelbar.
