Green Mountain Council is excited to welcome its entire Scouting Family to Mt. Norris Scout Reservation for summer 2024! Your Scouts BSA youth are going to love the exciting program we have on tap for Green Mountain Council Resident Camp, which promises to be safe and age-appropriate adventure and advancement for middle school and high school boys and girls.

Please note that we will be making a concerted effort to help honor communities of Scouters who are hoping to attend summer camp during the same week. While Packs and Troops are not able to occupy the same site, please indicate any linked units from your area that we should be aware of in coordinating the registration.

Focused Themed Weeks

Do you have older youth who are looking for something special? Check out our weekly specialty program that will challenge older youth and provide provisional Scouts with a reason to come back all summer long!

Week 1: History and Citizenship - With our 75th  Birthday, we look toward other history with the Scouting Heritage and American Heritage merit badge offerings. Playing games Lord Baden-Powell first introduced at Brownsea Island will be a highlight of this week. Citizenship in Society will be another Eagle-required merit badge offered during this week. 

Week 2: STEM Splash - If you have an interest in STEM or Engineering, this could be just your thing! This will take place during regular program time, allowing for participation in other camp activities. Bring a white lab coat if you have one and be the Mad Scientist of the Week! 
 
Week 3: Conservation - Our beloved Mount Norris Trail is showing its wear and tear. Help with rehabilitation projects and get a special streamer for your unit guidon. We’ll have other projects to do as well. Soil & Water Conservation Merit Badge is available during this week. 

Week 4: Aquatics Specialty Week -  Our highly talented and energetic Aquatics Staff is offering some additional water-based opportunities just this one week. They will include BSA Lifeguarding, Watersports Merit Badge, Motorboating Merit Badge, and Scuba Merit Badge. So if water is your thing, this could be a fabulous week to be at camp!
