Popcorn Blitz

Event Details

Here’s what you need to know:

  1. Meet at the Scout Office, 3604 Maplewood Ave, at 8:30am – enter through the back door.
  2. Sample and check out popcorn until 9:00am.
  3. Sell popcorn door-to-door from 9:00am until about noon.
  4. Participants must NOT set up a booth to sell.
    1. Go door-to-door
    2. Sell to family and friends
  5. Be back at the office no later than noon with the money for items sold and remaining popcorn.
  6. We’ll tally the amount sold and determine winners while you have a pizza party!
  7. First place will choose their prize of choice, second place will choose their prize and so on and so forth until all the prizes are gone!
  8. Even if your unit is not selling popcorn, you can sell at this event to raise funds for your Scouting adventure!
    1. Funds will be deposited in your unit’s account or payments can be made on next year’s registration at the office.
  9. Any age Scout can participate!
    1. Last year, out of the top 3 winners, two were Troop Scouts!
  10. Things you may want to bring while selling:
    1. Water to drink
    2. Wagon to pull around popcorn
    3. Change for cash popcorn sales
    4. Uniform or Scout T-Shirt (not required if you are a new Scout, but it can be helpful to have one)
