Leader Training Day

Training is an integral part of learning to become an effective leader. Trained leaders impact the quality of programs, leader tenure, youth tenure, and much more. A trained leader is better prepared to make the Scouting program all it can be! Every Scout deserves a trained leader. 

• Merit Badge Counselor Training (D76) is intended to provide council- or district-approved and registered merit badge counselors with an understanding of the methods of counseling and their role in the advancement.

• Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training is intended to provide troop leaders with the information and tools they need to lead successful troops. This course teaches practical ways to instill the Scouting methods into troop programs and covers the roles of the Scoutmasters and assistants in a Scout-led troop. 

• Cub Leader Training includes three trainings: Den Leader Position-Specific Training to provide information needed to conduct successful den meetings. Cubmaster and Assistant Cubmaster Position-Specific Training to provide basic information on conducting successful pack meetings, and Pack Committee Chair Training to learn about the various responsibilities of the individual members of the committee, as well as the committee as a whole.
