COPE Level I and II Training

Course Overview:
Scouting America Low COPE Level I & II Training is a weekend course held at the Roy & Frances Rea COPE Center at Trevor Rees-Jones Scout Camp. The course begins Friday at 7:00 p.m. and concludes Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
During this hands-on training, participants will develop the knowledge and skills needed to safely and effectively facilitate a quality COPE program. Topics include the eight COPE principles, facilitation of initiative games and Low COPE elements, program sequencing, and effective debriefing techniques. Upon successful completion, participants will be prepared to deliver engaging, challenging, and meaningful COPE programs.
When and Where:
Location - Trevor Rees-Jones Scout Camp
Friday, September 25th starting at 7 p.m. - Sunday, September 27th ends at 11:00 a.m.
What to Bring:
- Tent for Tent camping
- Copy of Safeguarding Youth Training
- Copy of a current Annual Health and Medical Review Form (A/B only)
Eligibility Requirements:
Open to adults 18 years of age or older.
Participants must be 21 years of age or older to earn Low COPE Level II certification.
Previous COPE and Climbing experience is helpful but not required
Youth are not eligible to register for this course at this time.
Fall 2026 training is by invite only.
