Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) is an overnight training event that introduces (or refreshes) adult Scouters and Leaders to the skills needed to plan and conduct Pack outdoor activities. This training is for Cub Scout Leaders. Get ready for an epic (and delicious) weekend. It isn't just training - it's an experience. Your new skills will include camping gadgets, geocaching, vital first aid and knife safety, how to cook up foil pack masterpieces. No campout is complete without campfire songs and skits. Plus, there will be plenty of fun games and the chance to build great friendships. Learn, connect and have fun with a bunch of fun-loving, like-minded adult Scouts. Whether you are brand new to scouting, a seasoned scouter who is just getting back into it, or a seasoned scouter who never left, this course is for you. Bring your experiences and share them with the rest of us. We are all better for it, and every scout deserves a trained leader.

All Packs are required to have a minimum of one (more recommended) trained adult for any and all overnight events.

Online BALOO Prerequisite Training on my.scouting.org is required prior to attending course. Please bring proof of completion.

Registration Closes: November 1 at 11:00 p.m.
This is the deadline to register, add/change participants, update participant information, and complete payment in full. Your registration and payment must be completed in full prior to this date and time to confirm your space in your training. Late additions/substitutions or walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
