Texas Fin-Fur-Con (TFFC) is a one-day Wildlife and Conservation Merit Badge University as well as Trail to First Class Day.

Event Details:

  • Friday, March 14 (for campers): 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 15 (day only or Saturday night campers): 8:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.
  • Classes begin: 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15
  • Classes end: 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15
  • Registration Deadline: March 9 at 11:00 p.m.
    This is the deadline to change or add to your registration. Late additions/substitutions or walk-ins cannot be accepted.
  • Location: Trevor Rees-Jones Scout Camp, 11217 FM 2970, Athens, Texas 75751

Camping Option:

  • Camping: camping will be available at TRJ for participants of this event. You will have the opportunity to add camping during the registration process. ***If you are camping, the only provided meal is Saturday Lunch. You and your unit will be responsible for all other meals.***
  • All persons camping overnight must be registered to participate in the TFFC MBU and must be currently registered with the BSA.There is no unit camping at TRJ or Camp Meisenbach this weekend. It is solely for registered participants of TFFC.

Merit Badge Requirement Reports:

  • All reports will be available about 10 days after the event. You will obtain these by going into your registration and clicking on the Reports tab. Physical "blue cards" will not be provided at this MBU.
  • Any person or unit from out-of-Council (not Circle Ten Council) must provide proof of current BSA membership such as the unit roster downloaded from my.scouting.org or a copy of their membership ID.

Cost:

  • Scouts: $TBD includes patch and Saturday lunch 
  • Adults: $TBD  includes Saturday lunch 
  • Registration is done individually or by unit. If booking as a unit, the primary registration contact will be responsible for checking in the group and forwarding all communications and policies.  
  • Cancellations: All cancellations must follow the Cancellation & Refund Policy (HERE)

Documents required at Check-In:

  • Unit Registrations: Unit Roster (downloaded from my.scouting.org) - or -
  • Individual Registrations: Copy of BSA Membership Card
  • Annual Medical Health Record AB
