Polish up that paint job, rotate those tires, and get those weights glued on tight. Chisholm Trail is holding its annual district-level Pinewood Derby.
The top three winners from each rank from all Packs in the district are invited to race their cars to find the fastest in District. Beginning at 9:00am, the district will have a track set up to begin running races by rank.

- Time: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

- Registration Closes: Saturday, March 1 at 11:00 p.m.
- Cost: Cub Scout participant- $10
Accompanying adults and siblings are free, but please register to get an acurate head count. - Cancellation: All cancellations must follow the Circle Ten Council Cancellation & Refund Policy (HERE)
- Cars may not be checked in for the race on race day, see details below.
Race Day Schedule:
- 8:00 Setup, track assembly
- 9:00 Lions Den Race
- 9:45 Tigers Den Race
- 10:30 Wolf Den Race
- 11:15 Bear Den Race
- (12:00 Lunch - for adults running race)
- 1:00 Webelos Den Race
- 1:45 AOL Dens Race
- 2:45 FINALs - Winners of Den Races will Race in Pack Overall Race
Other information:
Please see official rules attached - biggest things are you MUST use the wheels and axles from the standard BSA pinewood derby kit, and maximum weight is 5.0 ounces. Please review the rules carefully.
The car used to win the race at the unit level is the car that must be raced at this event. We cannot accept any alternates.
MANDATORY CAR CHECK-IN/WEIGH-IN ON FRIDAY, MARCH 7
Date: Friday, March 7 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Location: Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1919 Independence Parkway, Plano, TX 75075
All cars racing in the pinewood derby on March 8 must be weighed and turned in FRIDAY, MARCH 7 (THE DAY BEFORE) the race. Please bring your scout's car along with any weights you may want to add to the church. Cars may not be checked in for the race on race day; cars must be checked in by 9:00pm on Friday, March 7.
