2024 WISDOM IOLS Training

Hosted by Duck Creek, Elm Fork, Northern Trail, and Tejas Caddo Districts

Participants: Adult volunteers and parents

- NO  WALK-INS - 

IOLS provides adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Participants will works as Patrols at this hands-on training. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain the First Class rank. All Troops are required to have IOLS trained leaders and all SM/ASMs are required to have it to be fully trained.

• This is the in-person IOLS training
  • Cost: $40 per person
  • Location: Camp Wisdom, 6400 W. Red Bird Ln., Dallas, TX 75236
  • Check-in: Saturday, April 27 at 7:30 a. m. 
  • Class starts: Saturday, April 27 at 8:00 a.m.
  • Check-out: Sunday, April 28 at 12:00 p.m. 

IOLS Orientation is required for all participants and will be held online via Zoom on April 12 at 7:00 p.m. Zoom link will be provided after registration.

There are a few trainings and some paperwork that needs to be completed prior to the course:

• Proof of current YPT
• Proof of Hazardous Weather Training Course completion

Optional in-person Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training takes place April 6 at Aldersgate UMC in Carrolton.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must follow the Cancellation & Refund Policy (see Attachments).

Registration Closes: Sunday, April 21 at 11:00 p.m.
This is the deadline to register, add/change participants, update participant information, and complete payment in full. Your registration and payment must be completed in full prior to this date and time to confirm your space in your training. Late additions or walk-ins will not be accepted at either training.
