Retreat Purpose

• To develop excitement, fellowship, and a renewed Scouting spirit and to ensure all district leadership understands the roles of other members and how they work together to support units and accomplish the goals of the council.
• To review the immediate and future council calendar to make sure all events, activities, and meetings are well placed throughout the year.
• To socialize the new council strategic plan and ensure all district leadership and council staff understand their role and responsibility to the plan and to develop work plans and goals to move the council forward.
• To remove bureaucracy and ineffective meetings so that we strengthen our focus on the consistent quality delivery of the Scouting program at the unit and council level and to streamline effective leadership and guidance through council staff.
