Family Campout

Come join us for Family Camping for all ages.  Camp as a Pack, Troop, Crew, or just as a family.  We will have select programming throughout the weekend, but you should plan your program and meals as if you were the only ones there...but with the bonus of being able to network with others!

Campout Details
- Location: Titus County Fresh Water Supply District #1, 352 Fort Sherman Dam Rd., Mount Pleasant, TX 75455
- Check-in Begins: Friday, March 22 at 7:00 p.m.
- Check-out: Sunday, March 24 at 11:00 a.m.

Campout Cost
- $10 per person (youth or adult)
- Registration closes: March 17 at 11:00 p.m.
  This is the deadline to register, add/update participants, and complete payment. Late additions/substitutions or walk-ins cannot be accepted.
- Cancellations: All cancellations must follow the Cancellation & Refund Policy (see Attachments)

BALOO TRAINING

Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) is an overnight training event that introduces parents and leaders to the skills needed to plan and conduct Pack outdoor activities, particularly Pack camping.  The training includes campsite selection, outdoor event planning, parent involvement, health & safety, equipment, cooking, and an introduction to camping skills. 

All Packs are required to have a minimum of one (more recommended) for any and all overnight events.

Online BALOO Prerequisite Training on my.scouting.org is required prior to attending course. Please bring proof of completion.

  • Cost: $15 per person
  • Location: Titus County Fresh Water Supply District #1, 352 Fort Sherman Dam Rd., Mount Pleasant, TX 75455
  • Check-in Begins: Friday, March 22 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Check-out: Saturday, March 23 at 8:00 p.m.
  • Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must follow the Cancellation & Refund Policy (see Attachments).

Trainings and paperwork that needs to be completed prior to the course:

  • Proof of current YPT
  • Proof of Hazardous Weather Training Course completion
  • Proof of BALOO Prerequisite Training V2 Learning Plan completion
  • To access these training modules:
    • log into your myscouting.org account and click on the icon next to your name in the upper right corner and select my training
    • select Cub Scouting under training courses by program
    • select catalog (middle option)
    • use the search bar for each of the trainings: 
      - YPT
      - Hazardous Weather Training Course
      - BALOO Prerequisite Training V2 Learning Plan
