2024 Cub Leader & Den Chief Day of Training

Participants: Cub Scout Leaders and Den Chiefs

This half-day of training will provide the new “trained” leader program for Cubmaster/ Asst. Cubmaster, Committee Chair and Den Leader/ Asst Den Leader. There is also a session for a New Member Coordinator. Along with the training sessions, everyone will participate in a symposium on relevant Cub Scout topics. Adult leaders will earn their “trained” patch. This is a great opportunity for any leader that has not done their on-line training, or current leaders desiring a refresher course.
For Scouts BSA (Troop) Scouts, Den Chief training will run concurrently, and Scouts will finish with a den chief cord. For youth, the den chief is a position of leadership, and your SM can help you get assigned to a pack.
Completion of YPT (Youth Protection Training) is necessary to have a BSA ID assigned to you. YPT is required to be registered as an adult leader. Because this is also a youth event, completion of YPT is required prior to this course.
Event Details:
- Check-in: 12:30 p.m. – 12:50 p.m.
- Adult Sessions: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Den Chief Training: 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.
- Registration Deadline: Wednesday, September 25 at 11:00 p.m.
- Register by September 19 to guarantee your patch/cord at the training day.
- Location: FUMC Richardson, 503 N Central Expy, Richardson, TX 75080.
Meeting rooms will be upstairs. Enter from the North side. - Note: Childcare is not available. Due to space limitations and the nature of the training, we cannot accommodate any children in the sessions.
- Snacks will be provided.
Cost
- Adult/Youth Participants: $15 (includes insurance, training supplies, snacks, and training patches)
- Cancellation Policy: All attendees must follow the Cancellation & Refund Policy (HERE).
