Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) Training is a day of fun and learning which will help pack leaders plan and carry out a quality "entry-level" outdoor experience for the Cub Scouts and their families. Participants will better understand the laws of the BSA and camp programming while acquiring the skills and confidence to host a successful campout by increasing their knowledge of available resources and the use of national and local council standards as guidelines.

- Site Selection
- Parent Involvement
- Health and Safety
- Equipment
- Feeding
- Introduction to Outdoor Skills
*This Training is required for any adult who is in charge of planning and leading a pack campout.
Completion of this course is mandatory for at least one adult on a Pack overnighter. Participants are not required to be an experienced Cub Scout leader, but must take the online Youth Protection Training (Y01) and online BALOO Prerequisite Training course modules v2 (SCO_280 to SCO_283) BEFORE attending the class. You must bring to class a copy of Scout Medical Forms A & B along with a copy of your medical insurance card (both sides).
Supplies will be available for participants to demonstrate different forms of cooking. Participants will have opportunities to cook during the training.
