Adult Leader Training (ALT) & 
Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills (IOLS)

Who: Adult leaders desiring to be trained in the leadership and outdoor skills required for their positions.  

What: Adult Leader Training (ALT) & Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills (IOLS): This is a two-part course, the first part is in a classroom setting which meets on Saturday.  The second part is in the field at a hands-on campout.  Both parts are required to be considered a fully trained adult leader.

Please choose from the options outlined below.

Northern Trail ALT & IOLS: 

• The Northern Trail option signs you up for both the Classroom and Outdoor Sessions below.
• Classroom Session (ALT): April 9, 2022. 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the John D. Murchison Scouting Center (Dallas Scouting office)
• Outdoor Session (IOLS): April 30, 2022 at 7:00 a.m to May 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Camp Wisdom

Soaring Eagle IOLS:

• The Soaring Eagle option signs you up for the Outdoor Session only.
• Outdoor Session (IOLS): April 30, 2022 at 7:00 a.m to May 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Camp Wisdom

Western Horizon ALT & IOLS:

• Western Horizon has three options: ALT only, IOLS only, or IOLS & ALT.
• Classroom Session (ALT): April 9, 2022. 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Plymouth Park United Methodist Church
• Outdoor Session (IOLS): April 30, 2022 at 7:00 a.m to May 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Camp Wisdom

Important Note: Only the first session will show if selecting both ALT & IOLS. You will automatically be registered for IOLS.
