2021 Eastern Lakes Cub Camp

Event Details

Eastern Lakes
Cub Camp

"Weird Science"

June 25-27, 2021

Heritage Park - Sulphur Springs

You and your Scout are invited to attend our first annual Eastern Lakes District Cub Camp.  This camp opportunity is a new take on the old Day Camp or Twilight Camp.  Scouts will still be able to receive credit for the Outdoor Adventure Award by attending this camp!  You are not required to be part of Eastern Lakes District to attend.  Everyone is welcome...even youth that would like to try Scouting out!

Check-in will start at 5:00 PM Friday and the Camp Staff will host the campfire for the night.  Saturday will hold a full 12 hours of fun and program for our Scouts.  Sunday morning we will have 2 hours of programming and then the Scouts will host the closing campfire.

Theme this year is Weird Science.  Program will include BB Guns, Archery, STEM and more!

All ranks are based off of the 2021-2022 School Year.  Please sign your Scout up with their soon to be new rank.  4-5 year olds will be allowed to participate in all programming with the exception of BB Guns.  Children 3 and under are welcome to attend, but we will not have program for this age group and they will need to stay with a parent.

Would you like to help us out?

  • Program Staff - Rangemasters, Medcial Officer, Cook, Arts & Crafts, STEM, and other program areas....you are in charge of your assigned area.
  • Walking Den Leaders - Spend time with your assigned Den.  Help them get to and from program areas based on the schedule, maintain accountability of all Scouts, and help teach them items for the closing campfire ceremony (skits, songs, run-ons, etc).
  • Junior Staff - Scouts BSA & Venturing youth - you will be placed as needed to assist adult volunteers all across camp.  This also counts for service hours!

What should I bring with me to camp?
Water Bottle
Sunscreen
Hat (preferably your Cub Scout rank appropriate hat)
5 gallon bucket with lid (to keep everything in)
Plus your normal camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, etc)

What about food?
Please eat before you arrive on Friday night.  We will be serving lunch & dinner on Saturday.  Both Saturday & Sunday breakfast is your responsbility as a family or as a Pack.
