Scouts in Service Celebration at the National Museum of the Pacific War

Join Scouts from across Central Texas for a unique day of history, service, and hands-on learning at the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg on Saturday, November 28. Through interactive activities and immersive demonstrations, Scouts will discover how young people contributed to their communities and country during times of war while exploring the values of citizenship, service, and preparedness.

Participants will rotate through engaging stations including:

WWI Scouting "Find the Spy" Radio Challenge

WWII Ration Card Experience

Scout War Materials Sorting and Conservation Activity

Air Raid Drill and Messenger Demonstration

Try on Historic Military and Scouting Uniforms

Semaphore Flag Communications

Additional hands-on activities throughout the museum campus

Scouts who complete all required activities during the event will earn the Liberty in Action Emblem, recognizing their understanding of service, citizenship, and the role Scouts have played throughout American history.

Registration Fee Includes:

Admission to the National Museum of the Pacific War

Participation in all event activities

Liberty in Action Emblem patch for youth who complete all requirements

This special Scouts in Service Celebration offers a fun and memorable opportunity to experience living history, develop new skills, and honor the spirit of service that has defined Scouting for generations.

Who Can Attend: Scouts BSA, Cub Scouts, Venturers, Sea Scouts, leaders, and families.

Scouts and Scouters are encouraged to wear their Class A Uniforms (Historical Scouting Uniforms are extra welcome!)
