San Gabriel District Merit Badge University

The San Gabriel District will be hosting a Merit Badge University that will give Scouts, ages 11-17, the opportunity to earn a select group of merit badges ranging from elective activities to Eagle Scout-required merit badges. Scouts should be prepared to come with their own meals or snacks for lunchtime, no food will be provided. No blue cards will be issued at the event, completion reports will be sent out to individiual participants 10-14 days after the event concludes.
Held this year on September 6 at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church Parish Activity Center in Round Rock (https://maps.app.goo.gl/yoe1Gxz1qMmPX6Cy5) from 8 am - 5 pm, this event aims to create an environment where Scouts have an opportunity to continue their advancement program and earn valuable merit badges in an engaging way.
Here is the class schedule:

10 am
3 pm
Our aim is to offer Merit Badges that can be completed all the way through at the day of event. Facilitating counselors will work to ensure they are providing what opportunities they can to complete requirements. The best way to be sure Scouts complete their badges is to review the requirements and do some 'prep work' in advance. Many badges ask that they create a notebook, keep a log, or have other requirements that can often at least be started in advance. Please review the requirements for any classes you hope to complete. Arriving prepared will lead to success! We hope to see you there!
