BSA Paddle Craft Safety Training **CANCELLED**
Event Details

BSA Paddle Craft Safety expands Safety Afloat training to include the skills, as well as the knowledge, required for a unit leader to assess whether or not they are qualified to supervise a kayaking activity. Persons completing the training will have the opportunity to learn the skills to safely launch and maneuver a kayak along with planning and rescue techniques.
Fees:
There are two modules of training for kayaking:
- Basic - Camp Tom Wooten on October 7th
- River (moving water) - Colorado River near Bastrop, TX on October 8th
The training modules are open to any registered adult leader, Scout, Varsity, or Venturer, who is age 15 or older. The Basic Module Paddle Craft Safety is a prerequisite to the River (moving water) Module. Those who have previously taken Paddle Craft Safety are eligible to take the River Module.
