Tonkawa Lodge will conduct its first new induction at Camp Green Dickson on the weekend of  December 4-6, 2026.

As you may know, the induction process has changed. In order to understand the changes, current members are invited to participate in the new induction weekend alongside newly elected members.

The role of Elangomats in the induction process has also changed, Elangomats are now called Luminaries. The Luminary serves a more hands on role in the induction process.

The induction ceremonies have also changed.

You should arrive between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm on December 4. The induction will conclude at 10:30 am on December 6. Attendance for the entire weekend is required. Participants in the induction are capped at 75 (50 newly elected candidates, 25 current members), so sign up as soon as possible.

If you desire to serve in a Luminary role or Ceremony role at future assemblies, training opportunities will be advertised for future assemblies. You can also talk to your Chapter Chief or Chapter Adviser to get more information.

For December 4-6, newly elected candidates and existing members going through the new induction will register using the appropriate option for candidates. The Candidate Information Packet in the Attachments section remains applicable for items those going through induction (including current members going through induction) should bring (your pack list).  Trained Luminaries, ceremonialists and other support staff will register as usual.

Please read through the Candidate Information Packet as it contains important details for the weekend. Your dues for Tonkawa Lodge for the remainder of 2026 and 2027 are included with your registration fee.

Another email with final instructions and any last minute updates will be sent once registration closes on December 1, 2026.

Please Note: This is a full-weekend, Friday - Sunday. This assembly will follow the new induction process. There will not be a Brotherhood opportunity offered at this assembly.

Existing members must have paid their annual dues to attend Assembly. You may pay your dues upon arrival if they haven’t already been paid.

Everyone must bring a non-returnable hard copy of your BSA health form (parts A & B only).
