Kingdoms of the North Shore Webelos Woods
Come join the Scouts of the North Shore District in our “Scoutly” version of the Middle-ages. This Webelos Woods is based on the medieval period, so scouts should model “knightly” behavior. The emphasis of the event is fun and fellowship, with a flair from the Middle Ages.
Webelos (4th and 5th Grade Cub Scouts) and Leaders or Parents are invited to attend Saturday through Sunday. Each Den will be camping as a unit.
Scouts BSA Troops are invited to set up Friday evening or early Saturday morning.
What is Webelos Woods?
Webelos Woods is fun for both Webelos-aged dens (4th and 5th graders) and Scouts BSA Troops.
Over the course of a weekend, Cub Scouts and their parent or leaders will:
Participate in a campout using the patrol method with their den
Meet Scouts BSA Scouts from local troops
Practice or learn new Scouting skills
Learn about their next step in Scouting and possibly their future troop
Scouts BSA Troops will host an activity using the medieval period theme for the visiting Cub Scouts in addition to participating in the campfire and camp-wide competition. This is a great opportunity for Scouts to share all the things they enjoy about Scouting and recruit future members.
