Chief NRA Range Safety Officer Training

Cost: $80.00

Prerequisite: You must be 21 years or older and already be certified as an NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) and have taken Basic Instructor Training (BIT) to take this course. 

DATE:  February 18, 2023

Times: Saturday : 8:30 am - 7:00 pm

Description:  NRA Chief Range Safety Officer candidates will learn how to teach the roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions. 

The successful completion of this course will allow individuals to educate, train, and certify NRA Range Safety Officers. It is anticipated that participants will offer RSO classes in their council and district.

NRA Certification Fees.  In addition to the course fee, upon completion of the course, participants will need to register with the NRA to become certified.  There will be a $30 - $50 NRA fee depending on whether you are a NRA member or not.

Location:  Fickett Center
