BALOO Training
BALOO Training is made up of two parts: an online course available on My.Scouting.org, and an in-person, hands-on course. You must complete both parts to qualify as a trained outdoor Cub Scout leader. The hands-on course involves camping overnight (after all, that’s what the course is about – camping). You’re going to learn a lot, from cooking to first aid to campfires to hiking to aquatics and much, much more.
Check out https://www.bsacac.org/training/adult-required/cub-scouts/baloo-training/ for more information about who should take this course and why.
This training is being offered by the Armadillo Training Committee and is open to all Cub leaders in the Council.
Due to COVID, this course is limited to 30 participants.
Please fill out and bring non-returnable hard copies of the attachments with you to the training session - Pre-Event Medical Screening Checklist, COVID-19 Risk Acknowledgement, and Medical Parts A&B. These are fillable PDF's and are required standards for most Council events.
