What is Wood Badge?
Wood Badge is an advanced national leadership course offered to adults in Scouting who have completed their basic leadership training.
Who is Wood Badge for?
Wood Badge is for all registered adult leaders: age 18 or older, involved with Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouts, Exploring, District, Council, Territory, or at a National level.
Who may attend this course?
The course is open to all registered adult leaders.
When is the course?
Weekend 1 (November 1-3, 2024)
Weekend 2 (November 16-17, 2024)
Location: Lost Pines Scout Reservation, Bastrop, TX

The fee for the course is $300.

Paperwork Needs
The Wood Badge Pre-Course Assignment should be completed before you arrive to the course. You will keep this with you during the training.
Bring the following completed paperwork to Participant Orientation:
- Annual Health and Medical Review parts A, B1-2, and C.
- Proof of current Youth Protection Training through 11/17/24.
- Proof of Current Scouting America registration
- Personal Resource Questionnaire
Note: Scouting America camping rules: All adults staying overnight must have a current Youth Protection Training certificate and must be registered with Scouting America in an adult fee-required position effective September 1, 2023.
- For every participant: bring a paper copy of your Scouting America Medical form parts A&B&C.
- For every participant: bring a paper copy of your Scouting America registration for every participant.
- For all adults: bring a paper copy proof of unexpired YPT and your current Scouting America Registration
