Section Conclave Host Staff

Event Details

Tonkawa Lodge is hosting the 2024 G2 Section Conclave at Lost Pines April 5 - 7, 2024.

We will be providing support and logistics for Arrowmen from the nine Lodges in our Section that will be participating in this event.

If you are interested in helping out, please sign up as a support staffer.

If you are eating or planning on attending any of the activities, you will also need to register for the Section Conclave at: Capitol Area Council - OA Section G2 Conclave (scoutingevent.com)

We have seven main areas that we need support staff for:

Parking - Dale Clay; This will involve greeting participants as they enter camp and getting them to the correct parking areas. You will also be helping get their gear down to their campsites, making sure any trailers they have are parked correctly, and manning the gate for day traffic.

Medical - Jack Ward; The main medical group will be in Lindsay Lodge and will provide medical check-in and collection of medical forms and medical care during the event. There may be roving medical staff supporting the various program areas directly.

Administration - David Stroud; This group is handling all of the registration for the event, check-in to the event, internet connectivity for the trading post and the registration staff, and other duties.

Service - Kerri Thompson; The service corps will be checking the bath houses periodically, emptying trash, and refilling water at the program areas.

Program - Jim Behrens; This group is in charge of overseeing the various program activities. So far, the only program area we know for sure that has been requested is DOK's Tower.

Dining Hall - Toni Nelson; The dining hall staff will be responsible for setting up the dining hall serving lines, overseeing salad bars and dessert bars, cleaning the dining hall after meals.

Thunderbird Cafe - Greg Pryer; The Thunderbird cafe operates Friday afternoon and evening serving burgers and drinks. General help is needed with clean up and breakdown.

Kitchen (AVK+) - Jeff Wiginton; The AVK will be cooking the meals on Saturday. Help in the commissary is always needed - usually washing pots and pans, cleaning up, and helping out as needed.
