BSA Wilderness First Aid

BSA Wilderness First Aid Basics is for back country camping where professional emergency care is more than 1 hour away.  This course combines classroom lectue, skills practice, and realistic scenarios to teach assessment, basic and advanced first adi skills and decision making, extended care and transport.  A current CPR/AED care along with the BSA-WFA is requested for all High Adventure Bases included Philmonth, Sea Base, Northern Tier, and Summit.    CPR/AED is REQUIRED to receive the WFA certification. 

 

Please bring all your own food - no food will be provided for this course.  

Minimum required for the courese:6.  Maximum required: 16. 

 

Class schedule

  • Friday 6:30pm checkin 
  • Friday 7:00pm - 9:00pm class
  • Saturday 8:00am - 5:00pm with a break for lunch
  • Sunday 8:00am - 3:00pm with a break for lunch
