JOTA-JOTI
Event Details
Jamboree on the Air/Jamboree on the Internet (JOTA-JOTI) is the world’s largest digital Scout event taking place over the airwaves and on the internet. Our International Committee has prepared a Passport of activities supporting the International Spirit Award, Messengers of Peace Award, and other International Scouting programs for all levels of Scouting.
Event Activities
- JOTI / JOTA – Jamboree-on-the-Internet (JOTI) and Jamboree On The Air (JOTA) (See description below) Participants earn the JOTA-JOTI Patch
- Radio Transmitter Balloon Launch – Join in the countdown as we launch a small trackable balloon fitted with a WSPR transmitter into the jet stream! Follow it as it travels around the globe! Purchase chances to win a prize for the best guess of where the balloon will land with proceeds supporting the World Friendship Fund!
- International Spirit Award & International Scouter Award – Learn about the International Spirit Award and International Spirit Award awards and work on some of the requirements.
- Messengers of Peace – Learn about the new, expanded Messengers of Peace Award and participate in a MOP project related to SDG Goal #2 Zero Hunger and earn your Messengers of Peace Award!
- Merit Badges. A selection of merit badges such as Citizenship in the World, Radio and others will be available. Sign up for each one individually.
- World Scout Jamboree 2027. The next WSJ will be held in Poland! International activities will be provided with Polish roots (ie food, games, flag, culture) so you can “Be Prepared!”
- World Friendship Fund – Learn about the World Friendship Fund and purchase chances to win a prize for the balloon landing. All proceeds benefit the WFF!
- International Peace Light – Learn about the International Peace Light Ceremony and eternal flame from Bethlehem and how to get the flame for your home or unit.
- Friendship Knot – Learn how to tie the friendship neckerchief knot, then share it with your friends!

Registration Cost
General admission of $5 per person covers admission to all events on Friday and Saturday and includes the JOTA-JOTI 2023 Patch. Events include International Spirit Midway, Jamboree on the Internet, Jamboree on the Air, and Zooms with Scouts around the world.
Merit Badge Classes - $15 each
Indian Dinner and Polish Lunch - $10 each
Messengers of Peace Project
A Messengers of Peace Project under the new guidelines which allows the participant to earn the Messengers of Peace ring under the Personal Dimension is available to be completed in advance of JOTA-JOTI and submitted on October 21st. The instructions for this project which addresses SDG Goal 2: Zero Hunger will be posted on our website and Facebook page.
