Eclipse Extravaganza - April 6-8, 2024
Join us for a family friendly Eclipse viewing event at our Smilin V Scout Ranch. This location will be in the zone of totality for over 4 minutes 5 seconds. We will also have camping for the evening before the event and activities for youth and adults to partake while they wait for the eclipse to begin. There will be program and camping areas for all Scouting levels. Camp as a pack, troop, or scouting family. Individuals staying overnight must be BSA members. BSA members with family and friends can come for the day.

Meals
Food will be provided. You may also choose to bring and cook your own food. No ground fires allowed - propane only.

Eclipse Passport
Each Scout will receive an Eclipse Passport book at check-in. This will list all the Scouting activities that may be tried this weekend. If they are able to complete the requirements as written (tell, show, demonstrate, explain, discuss, etc.) then the pavilion staff will mark that activity completed. It is up to units to verify work completed and enter data into Internet Advancement. No other record will be provided or signed (no blue cards).
What to bring
For those camping overnight, please bring your tent, sleeping pad and bag, camp chair and other camping gear. We will have food served but attendees camping are welcome to cook their own food also.
For those coming only for Monday, please bring a chair or blanket to sit on, hat, water bottle, sunscreen and some cash for snacks and food.
