Trash the Trash 2022
Scouts Trash the Trash Day is a global initiative which challenges Scouts to bring a friend or family member and collect at least one Kilo (2.2 pounds) of trash or recycling each.
The Scouts of Troop 1206 in Helena, Montana established Scouts Trash the Trash Day after realizing that while Scouts around the world gather several times a year during events like Jamboree on the Air and Internet, Founder’s Day, and World Neckerchief Day, there was no worldwide day for Scouts to all clean up their communities.
Scouts Trash the Trash Day is a day to showcase Scouting in action, educate individuals about Scouting and recruit new youth and adults into the Scouting movement.

When

How
1. Choose a place to pick up trash and recyclables.
2 Choose a friend or family member to accompany you.
3. Bring separate bags for trash and recycling.
4. Pick a time on May 7th to collect the trash and recycling.
5. Wear gloves and close-toed shoes. Consider wearing two types of gloves. Nitrile gloves protect you from direct contact transmission, and work-type gloves protect you from injury.
