2023 REPORT TO STATE - DELEGATION EVENT PLAN (subject to change)

DATE:     February 4, 2023          TIME: 9:00 am            LOCATION: Austin, Texas

WHO:

All 18 councils in Texas are invited to participate. The method of participation is the formation of a delegation. Because of space limitations at the Capitol, and time constraints, the size of each delegation is restricted to a maximum of 3 youth and 3 adults, including your council’s youth representative. His/her primary task is to deliver your council’s official report at the designated report location. Please understand this is a report to a state official, not necessarily the Governor. Delegates are youth only.

PURPOSE

A report to Texas on Scouting’s achievements from each council in Texas.

COST

Each youth in your delegation pays a $25 delegate fee. Each adult in your delegation pays a $15 attendee fee.

Your delegation fees are needed to keep this event successful for our current Scouts and for future generations of Scouts.

Each paid youth delegate will receive breakfast, commemorative RTS patch, commemorative cap, and an electronic copy of the RTS Group photo.

Each paid adult will receive breakfast and commemorative RTS patch.

Digital official group photos (YOUTH DELEGATES ONLY) will be emailed to the delegation leader to distribute to the participants.

The delegation registration and payment must be provided to the Capitol Area Council by Monday, January 9, 2023 so that adequate time is allowed for last-minute event communication.

COMMUNICATION

Communication is the key to a successful Report to State. All communication will be through the council delegation leader and the council staff advisor for RTS.   Please add andra.allen@scouting.org and no-reply@247scouting.org to your safe email list.
