Conservation Day @ Lost Pines

We have several one-day weekend service and conservation projects planned. Projects include -but are not limited to- erosion control, tree planting, invasive species control, building and installing signage, maintaining fire lines and reducing soil impaction in camp. These service projects are for all Scouts BSA and above.

Conservation organized projects are limited to the first 30 participants that register. Please register each participants by name.  


Schedule of Event:

7:45 – Check in Opens

8:15am – Event Starts, participants group into teams and are given a team flag, instructions, and wipes to use for wiping down tools.

8:30am – Move to conservation site and begin work

11:15 – All teams break to start doing final clean up before leaving site.  Once done, all participants walk back to parking area in their team.

11:30 – Participants wipe down tools before returning them.  Participants gather for a thank you and quick closing, turn in flags and leave.


Conservation Day COVID Rules (subject to change depending on state and county COVID status):

  1. All Participants must wear masks while at the event.
  2. All Participants will be need to complete pre-event paperwork and have their temperature checked before entering the parking lot (we will have a booth at the parking lot entrance and will bring everything to your car for check-in.  Any vehicle (including all participants in the vehicle) with a person with a fever or history of COViD like symptoms will be asked to leave site immediately.  
  3. Due to COViD restrictions, no late arrivals or walk in participants will be permitted to join the Conservation Day.  Early departures are allowed, but discouraged. 
  4. If Bastrop County imposes stricter COViD restrictions and the event must be cancelled, all participants will be notified via the email listed with this registration. 
  5. Participants need to bring their own gloves, hat, water bottle and snacks.  Single use bottles of water will be available if needed.  Participants should not plan to eat lunch at LPSR.
