NRA SHOTGUN INSTRUCTOR COURSE

NOTE: You must have previously taken the NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) course prior to taking this course.  BIT is offered with the NRA Rifle Instructor Course.

Age Requirement: 21 and older to be a Certified Shotgun Instructor. 

Cost: $100.00

Description: This course is for training and certification of NRA Shotgun Instructors. It includes the NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting and the NRA Shotgun Instructor Training.   All participants must have experience at shooting shotguns.

Class Size: This course is open to the first 20 who register. 

Locations: 

• Friday - 11/6/2026 - 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm - Fickett Center -
• Saturday - 11/7/2026 -8:30 am to 10:00 pm - Fickett Center 
• Saturday -11/14/2026- 8:30 am to 6:00 pm –  Shotgun Range and Lindsay Lodge, LPSR

What to Bring: Pen or pencil. Dress casually.  Uniforms are not required. On Saturday 9/06/2025 -  Bring your own cleaning kit and lunch.  The council will supply all shotguns and ammunition. 

NRA Certification Fee: After completing the course, there will be a fee to the NRA for certification.  There will be a $40 - $175 NRA certification fee at the end of the course, depending on whether you are an NRA member or not. NRA membership is $45.
