The OA induction process is going through a major overhaul. Instead of Elangomats that go through an Ordeal again with their crew, there are now Luminaries that lead their crew through a series of conversations, reflections, and training during the day. In order to serve as a Luminary, you are required to attend a training session.

Basic requirements are:

1) For youth, be at least 14 years old.

2) Be at least Brotherhood.

3) Have been an Elangomat at least twice before.

While not required, it is strongly recommended that youth have NYLT training experience.

This is the first of a series of training sessions the Lodge will hold. This one is specifically in preparation for the Section Induction Experience at Camp Strake October 9 - 11, 2026 and our Lodge Induction Experience December 4 - 6, 2026 at Camp Green Dickson. If you are interested in serving as a Luminary at either of these events, you will need to take this training.
