Bundle up and join us for a frosty day of winter-themed fun, discovery, and adventure! Cub Scouts and their families are invited to explore the wonders of winter in this exciting, hands-on event.

Cool Activities Include:

• Make Snow (yes, really!)
• Discover the secrets of Winter Animals and Hibernation
• Escape the past in the thrilling Ice Age Escape challenge
• Create your own Snowstorm and explore weather wonders
• Dive into an Arctic Animals Experiment to learn how they survive the cold
• Practice your skills with a BB fun shoot

Whether you're exploring the icy wilds or taking aim at adventure, there's something for everyone at WinterFest 2026. Bring your family, your lunch and your warmest smiles for an unforgettable day!

Where: Smilin V Scout Ranch

When: Jan 16th, 2027.  Check in opens at 8:30 and closes at 1pm.  Activities begin at 9am and run until 3:45pm.  Although the event is come and go, we highly advise any participants to check in by 1:00pm in order to have time to do all the activities.  Anyone checking in after 1pm will not be able to complete most activities.     

• For the BB Fun Shoot - you will sign up for 20 minute shooting session as part of your registration.  Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your planned shoot in order to have time check in at the range and complete your brief safety talk

What to Bring:

• Water Bottle and sunscreen (even in the winter you will need them!)
• Wagon to carry gear
• Camp chair for parents
• Lunch - you can either purchase a lunch (hot dogs, chips and a drink) for $5 or bring a picnic lunch for your family. 

How Much: $20 for youth participants / $5 for adults

• Optional lunch is an additional cost (see above)

When can I register: Registration opens Sept 1, 2026.   All participanting youth much be registered via Black Pug for the event.
