Come out to Smilin V Scout Ranch for a day filled with Water Rockets, Rocket Club Demos, Kite Building and Flying.  

Where and When

Where: Smilin V Scout Ranch

When: Sept 26th, 2026.  Check in opens at 8:30 and closes at 1pm.  Activities begin at 9am and run until 3:45pm.  Although the event is come and go, we highly advise any participants to check in by 1:00pm in order to have time to do all the activities.  Anyone checking in after 1pm will not be able to complete most activities.    

Activities

During this event youth can do the following

• Launch a model rocket
• Launch a water rocket
• Make and launch straw rockets
• Make a paper airplane and compete with your friends on flight time and distance
• Explore a planet maze
• Color and then fly your own kite
• Make a shiny pinwheel
• Challenge your parents in hopscotch, jenga or other yard games
• Shoot a BB Gun and/or bow and arrow
• Learn about Hill Country Nature on a hike
• Chill out while playing with Snap Circuits are reading books
• Check out a fire truck, meet an EMS and a police helicopter
• Celebrate a special birthday with cake at the camp

How Much:

$20 per youth participant/ $5 for each parent/caring adult

Schedule

• 8:00am - Staff check in onsite
• 8:30am - Check in at event opens
• 9:00am - Activities begin
• 10:00am - Fire Truck arrives
• 11:00pm - Helicopter arrives
• 12:00pm - Fire Truck leaves
• 12:00pm - EMS arrives
• 12:00pm - Activities break for lunch
• 1:00pm - Activities resume from lunch
• 1:00pm - Check in at event closes
• 1:00pm - Helicopter leaves
• 2:00pm - EMS leaves
• 3:00pm - Shooting and rocket Activities end
• 3:45pm - All other activities close
• 4:00pm - Event ends
