Philmont Family Weekend is a great family event for all ages.  Once you arrive at this beautiful ranch, you will be amazed at the beauty it has to offer.  We are pleased to again offer this memorable weekend with your family and friends.  The mountains will grab your attention as you get closer to Philmont, the fresh air of the 10,000 feet elevation, and the stunning sunsets you will ever see await you.

There are so many things to do with your family on Saturday and Sunday that include hiking to see the T-Rex.  Maybe hiking isn't your thing and that's okay because you can visit Cimarron, the local town, grab a milkshake, or take a tour of the Villa on the ranch where Waite Phillips spent his days and nights.  How about visiting the Boy Scouts of America Scouting Museum and the Tooth of Time Trading Post?  In the evenings, you will partake in a crackerbarrel and finally the closing campfire!  And that's just Saturday!  On Sunday, you can throw tomahawks or try your hand at Archery or maybe climb the Lover's Leap Mountain (it's a very easy hike)!

All meals, except lunch on Saturday, are included as well as tent accommodations..... not your typical tent camping, however!!  These have lights, electricity, clothing storage area and two cots all right near the showers and bathrooms.  If you need to bring a small child, you can bring a Pack'nPlay or use one of Philmont's!  Check out the Guidebook for more details and activities.  You can do all of them or none of them, or simply do what you and your family want to do!  Join us for a NO STRESS GETAWAY that only scouting families can do!!!
