Since 1954, the Middle Tennessee Council has offered  Wood Badge training to thousands of adult leaders—JOIN THE LEGACY—of the over 2,500 MTC Scouters who have completed the training to earn their “beads.”

What is Wood Badge?
Wood Badge is Scouting’s most advanced training for adults offered at the Council level.  A national course open only to Scouting volunteers and professionals, the training has two distinct parts. The first part takes place outdoors over the span of two weekends, where the aims and methods of Scouting are explained and demonstrated by a volunteer staff of experienced Scouters. During the second part, participants apply their knowledge of leadership principles by completing a series of personal goals related to their Scouting roles.

Why Attend?
