2025 Distinguished Citizens Award Dinner

The Chickasaw Council, Boy Scouts of America, takes great pride in honoring supporters who have been most generous in their contributions of time, talent, and treasure over the years with the Distinguished Citizens Award. This year, Karl Schledwitz from Memphis, Tennessee, will be honored for his support of Scouting at a dinner on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Memphis Country Club. The reception will start at 6:30 p.m., with dinner to immediately follow.
Mr. Schledwitz has been unselfish in his support of the Boy Scouts and numerous other charitable organizations throughout the Mid-South and the country. He will join other honored recipients of this prestigious award, including Lewis Williamson, Edward Dobbs, Tyrone Burroughs, Carolyn Hardy, Jimmy Lackie, Billy Orgel, Bryan Jordan, Brad Martin, Rudi Scheidt, Pitt & Barbara Hyde, Jack Moore, Billy Dunavant, Lewis Donelson, Dr. Scott Morris, Lester Crain, Jim McGehee, Peter Schutt, The Kemmons Wilson Family, and Steve Reynolds.
Because of your relationship with Mr. Schledwitz, we are contacting you to ask for your help honoring him by contributing to defray the dinner cost and benefit the Scouting program. This special dinner will impact Scouting throughout the Mid-South. There are several levels of support for your consideration.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the Chickasaw Council and Boy Scouts of America in the Mid-South, including Shelby County, Tennessee, Crittenden County, Arkansas, and fifteen counties in the Mississippi Delta. We appreciate your consideration of sponsoring this dinner to honor Lewis Williamson and support the Boy Scouts of America.
