Scouting America Rifle Shooting Ranges Require the Supervision of an NRA Trained Rifle Instructor
If you are 21 years old or older and interested in working with our Scouts in the Chickasaw Council Shooting Sports Programs, come take this three-day class and become a trained Rifle Instructor. If so, you will most certainly put a smile on a Scout’s face and yours too.

Prerequisites Included:
Basic Instructor Training (BIT) – Must have completed BIT within the last two years
Basic Rifle
Location / Class Times
BIT class will be held via ZOOM / Friday, November 14 6:00 pm
Basic Rifle and Instructor classes will be help at Camp Currier – Golightly Cabin
Basic Rifle Saturday, November 15, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
Rifle Instructor Saturday, November 15, following Basic Rifle – 8:00pm
Sunday, November 16, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Included:
All course material
Meals – Lunch Saturday and Sunday - Dinner Saturday
Rifles and Ammo will be provided.
Course Goals:
To develop NRA Certified Rifle Instructors who possess the knowledge, skill, and attitude essential to organize, conduct, and supervise safe rifle shooting activities for our Scouts. (A Rifle Instructor is required on all Scouting America Rifle ranges.)
Course Requirements:
Must participate in class discussions and demonstrations.
Must score 90% on an open book test.
Must pass a shooting proficiency test.
Course Fee: Scouters - $150.00 Payable to the Chickasaw Council.
Non-Scouters - $250.00 Payable to the Chickasaw Council.
