WOOD BADGE – ULTIMATE TRAINING PROGRAM

The 2025 Indian Waters Council Wood Badge Course will be held over 2 weekends (March 14-16, 2025 & April  5-6, 2025) at Camp Coker in Society Hill, SC. You must attend both weekends. 

Wood Badge is the ultimate leadership training program for the adult leaders of the Boy Scouts of America. Wood Badge is a modern format of training that delivers the latest in 12 leadership skills that will help you be the best leader possible. These are skills that will become part of your everyday life.  We promise you friendship, camaraderie, knowledge, personal awareness, and most of all fun!

The fee for the course is as follows:

The first 30 participants to register will receive a free course hat and course Wood Badge Council Shoulder Patch (CSP).

$275 for participants 

  • Covers program and training materials, all your food for weekend one, and weekend two both lunches, course T-shirt, and Wood Badge presentation kit (upon completion of the training program).  Participants will be providing their own dinner and breakfast on weekend two. Details regarding weekend two meals will be provided during weekend one. 

Wood Badge has been developed for ALL Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, and Venturing leaders, as well as council and district leaders. The course content and the principles introduced apply to scouters in all leadership positions in all of the program areas. It provides a common foundation of leadership and team skills used throughout the program. Who should attend? YOU should attend! 

To attend Wood Badge, you must:

  1. Be a registered member of the BSA
  2. Have completed Youth Protection Training
  3. Have completed the basic training course for your Scouting position
  4. Have completed the outdoor skills program for your Scouting position, if applicable
  5. Be capable of functioning safely in an outdoor environment
  6. Have successfully completed and submitted a BSA physical (Parts A, B and C) prior to the start of the course

You will be required to be in full uniform for the course. The uniform required will be the official scout uniform for your scouting program, including the official scout shirt, pants or shorts, socks and belt.
