Climbing/COPE Training

Camp Coker

This course has you working on the basics to help one of the council's Climbing/COPE Directors run the Climbing tower at Camp Coker or Camp Barstow and/or COPE course at Camp Barstow during events. Knots, belaying, rescuing, climbing, and just hanging around are what's in store for this weekend course.

The sessions will begin at 7:00 pm on Friday & ends at 1:00 pm on Sunday. This is an overnight experience, so participants should bring their own 10 essentials, sleeping bag, tent (have one incase the dorms fill up), necessary personal items, writing instrument, & notepad.  The course fee is $50.00 and includes materials, meals, and use of gear.  A confirmation with additional details will be sent out prior to the course weekend.  A field uniform (class-A) is required & a positive attitude is expected. Acitivity uniform (class-b) or climbing atire is appropriate for when we are at the tower.
