Climbing/COPE Training

Camp Barstow

This course has you working on the basics to help one of the council's Climbing/COPE Directors run the tower or COPE course during any council sponsored event. Knots, belaying, rescuing, climbing, and just hanging around are what's in store for this weekend course.

The sessions will begin at 7:00 pm on Friday & ends at 1:00 pm on Sunday. This is an overnight experience, so participants should bring their own 10 essentials, sleeping bag, tent, necessary personal items, writing instrument, & notepad.  The course fee is $60.00 and includes materials and meals.  A confirmation with additional details will be sent out prior to the course weekend.  A field uniform (class-A) is required & a positive attitude is expected.  For safety all participants are asked to wear masks while in group sessions.
