BALOO - Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation for Cub Scout leaders is a training event that introduces participants to the skills needed to plan and conduct Pack outdoor activities, particularly pack camping. This training is required for any adult who is in charge of planning a pack campout, and it is required that at least one adult per pack complete BALOO training. 

Prior to taking the practical component, you must have completed the online component  Both components, the online and the practical, must be completed in order to fulfill the “BALOO Trained” status.  The online portion is available through the BSA Learn Center at My.Scouting.org

Please note that this is an all day event.  Training will begin at 9:00 am on Saturday and end at 11:00 am on Sunday.  Make sure to dress for the weather as we will be outdoors a good portion of the day and bring a water bottle to help stay hydrated throughout the day.   You will need to bring personal gear such as sleeping bag and toiletry items as you will be staying overnight.  We will need to bring a tent as well.   Field uniform is prefered dress for the day.  Cost is $40.00 per person and includes meals and materials.
