AOL Adventure Day - Into the Woods

AOL Adventure Day
Into the Woods
Friday, July 17th
9:00am-12:00pm
Earn your AOL Into the Woods Adventure in one day! Arrow of Light Scouts, join us at Harbison State Forest’s Environmental Education Center to earn your Into the Woods Adventure in a fun, hands-on, educational workshop. In working through these requirements, Scouts will explore the remarkable complexity of a forest and identify many species of trees and plants and the roles they play in a forest’s life cycle. They will also discover some of the resources forests provide to humans and come to understand that people have a very large part to play in sustaining the health of forests. You’ll prepare a tree inventory, identify forest trees, learn how different wildlife uses the forest, and the effects of wildfires on the forest.
Cost is $5 per Scout and must register before Wednesday, July 15th.
These Adventure recource materials are available for download.
