2025 Scouting For Food

Scouting For Food 2025
Scouts and leaders of the Indian Waters Council are planning for their annual Scouting for Food campaign in the month of February to benefit local food pantries. No one should ever go hungry and the reality is, more families are having a tough time feeding their family. Food pantries are always in need of food to restock their shelves.
Each unit should plan to deliver door hangers on the first Saturday and then collect donated food the following Saturday and deliver it directly to local food pantries.
There are two times that units will be collecting food:
Horry County (Myrtle Beach area)
Saturday December 7 - Place door hangers out in community
Saturday December 14 - pick up donated food and deliver to food pantries
Midlands Area (Columbia, Lexington, Cayce, Camden, Lugoff, Orangeburg)
Saturday, February 1 - Place door hangers out in community
Saturday, February 8 - pick up donated food and deliver to food pantries
Register the amount of food and the organization who recieved it. Order patches to recognize your Scouts for "Doing a Good Turn". We thank all Scouts and leaders who answered the call to support local food banks.
Use this registration to:
- Enter the organization name that benefited from your food donations
- Enter the total number of items that your unit collected and donated
- Give the total number of youth and adults who participated in the food collection
- Order and pay for your units 2025 Scouting For Food Patches
*Note - even if your unit does not order SFF Patches you still enter the total items collected and the organization who received it. (1 item collected is usually equal to 1 pound)
Deadline to submit your collection information and order patches is March 3rd.
Thank you for your service to your communities!
