Step back in time as you become part of a Revolutionary War Immersion Experience. Through engaging, immersive activities, you will step into the roles of soldiers to examine more closely their roles during the Revolutionary War period. From enlistment and drilling to deciding what items to grab when fleeing to probing deeper into the choices made by colonists across the societal spectrum, you will gain a better insight into the cause-and-effect of wartime decisions. There will also be an immersive campfire program with ghost stories and soldiers. There will also be time built in for a 5-mile hike or fishing along with some downtime and period skills. Earn your Liberty in Action patch during this action-packed weekend.

Arrow of Light Scouts may participate at a Scouts BSA “camporee” (council coordinated, short-term camp, see NCAP SA-001) during the day and/or overnight in one of two ways:

With their Arrow of Light Den/Patrol. Arrow of Light Scouts can attend as an Arrow of Light den/patrol under the supervision of two deep leadership from their Arrow of Light den/patrol or pack (at least 1 BALOO trained leader.) The Arrow of Light Scout’s parent or legal guardian(s) may attend with the Arrow of Light den/patrol and their child, either alongside the two-deep leadership or as part of it if they are registered with the pack. Or

As an Individual Scout. Arrow of Light Scouts can attend with their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) if the local council coordinates two deep leadership per NCAP Standard HS-502. For spending the night, the parent(s) or legal guardian must be registered with Scouts.

The cost of this Council Camporee is minimal due to a grant that we are receiving from the South Carolina American Revolution Sestercentennial Commission (SC250)
