Event Details
This event represents a wonderful opportunity for the Council and the community as a whole to recognize the accomplishments of our midlands. The 2018 Eagle Scout class has been named in honor of "Velda Howard", an amazing and longtime Scout volunteer and staffer who was helped countless young men along their trail to Eagle. This tribute comes as the council had a record number of Eagle Scouts in 2018…134 young men were awarded Scouting highest rank!
The Silver Beaver Award will also be presented that evening to three deserving honorees: Norman Gullard of Camden, Michael Hiller of Lexington and Troy McNall of Chapin, whose Scouting involvement has helped transform lives and provide quality programs for many years.
