2018 Council Contingent to Philmont Scout Ranch
2018 Blue Ridge Council Philmont Expedition! Greenville, South Carolina to Cimarron, New Mexico
Expedition dates are June 26 - July 8
Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America's premier High Adventure™ base, challenges Scouts and Venturers with more than 214 square miles of rugged northern New Mexico wilderness. Backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs offer young people many ways to experience this legendary country.
We have 12 slots for 4 adults and 8 youth from across the Blue Ridge Council to join together and hike a Philmont trek in the summer of 2018. Experience 12 days hiking through mountain vistas and aspen forests, while experiencing the adventure of a lifetime.
A youth must be 14 years of age OR 13 years of age and completed the 8th grade by date of participation. Youth must be registered members of the Boy Scouts of America.
Cost: $1,850
Cost includes Philmont fees, airfare, and transportation to and from the airport and Philmont Scout Ranch.
Payment schedule is as follows:
1. Signup - $150 Deposit
2. Sept 15 Payment of $370
3. Nov 15 Payment of $350
4. Jan 15 Payment of $480
5. Feb 15 Payment of $500
