Join us for the 2nd annual Blue Ridge Council Fishing Derby at Camp Old Indian!

Our Fishing Committee has worked hard to develop and improve fishing opportunties at COI and are excited to offer a follow up to our popular Fishing Derby for our Scouts. The Derby will take place September 6th at Camp Old Indian and will cost $12.

Time: Cubs 9 AM – 10:30 Fishing

10:45AM Awards

Scouts 6:00PM – 7:30 PM Fishing

7:45 PM Awards

Prizes for Biggest Fish, Smallest Fish, and Most Fish.

New Derby Patch Included.

$12.00 per registry.

Rules and Guidelines

Live Bait will be available or bring your own.

Fishing Rod and Reel can be provided, if own your own please bring.

Fishing will be catch and release.

Wear close toed shoes, hat, sunglasses, and bring sunscreen and water.

Only one rod per scout or cub.

Only Cubs and Scout eligible for prizes, adults can fish.

Fishing License is not required.

All Cub Scouts must be accompanied by an adult over 21.

Cub and Scouts must hook, reel in, and land fish by themselves and measured by Fishing Derby Judges.

No Pets allowed.

Properly dispose of line, tackle, bait cups and other litter.

In event of thunderstorms, postponement or cancellation will be evaluated.

Fish must be caught from the bank.
