Cycling Merit Badge

Date: February 28, 2021
Time: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm; please arrive by 12:45 pm.
Location: Fort Mill Public Library (1818 2nd Baxter Crossing, Fort Mill, SC  29708)
Cost: $15

All requirements, as well as the first ride, will be covered during the class. All other rides will need to be completed on the Scout's own time and will be tracked with a phone app and forwarded to the counselor. Instructions for the phone app as well as email instructions will be discussed during the class. Attending the class is mandatory to complete the merit badge.

All participants must provide their own Mountain Bike that is in good working order. If you need to rent a mountain bike, for an additional charge, please reach out to Matthew Kelly at matthew.kelly@scouting.org.

Helmets ARE REQUIRED for all cycling activities. If you need to rent a helmet, for an additional charge, please reach out to Matthew Kelly.

Please purchase a cycling merit badge pamphlet or obtain requirements from the internet prior to attending class. Be familiar with all requirements and the physical requirements to complete this merit badge. The last required ride is 22 miles long and must be completed within a 6-hour window.
